Jonathan Wechter, DDS

Meet Dr. Wechter, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Jonathan Wechter was born and raised in San Diego, California. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara for his undergraduate studies where he received his degree in biological sciences. He then went to study at UCLA school of dentistry, where his excitement for the profession of oral surgery developed.

After dental school, he traveled across the country to the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospitals for his oral and maxillofacial surgical residency. During his training, he had extensive exposure to maxillofacial trauma at Ryder trauma center which is one of the few free-standing trauma centers in the country. He also had unparalleled exposure to head and neck pathology treating the diverse communities of South Florida. During his training, he has been committed to exceptional patient care in office-based oral surgery, implant surgery, benign and malignant pathology, facial trauma, and anesthesia.

Dr. Wechter is excited to come back to Santa Barbara where he spent some of his formative years as a Gaucho and further develop his ties to the community. His hobbies include playing tennis, hiking, skiing, weight lifting and spending quality time with family and friends.
